MICRONEEDLING

What is microneedling and what areas can you treat?

Micro-needling causes controlled micro-injuries that stimulate the body's natural wound-healing process and produce new collagen. The freshly produced collagen will rejuvenate your skin; improving wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks and improving texture and tightness. Microneedling can be performed on the face and many other body parts, such as arms, legs, neck, back of the hands, and abdomen.

Why add platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to microneedling?

PRP is a collagen induction therapy used to treat common skin concerns like stretch marks, acne scars,  and signs of aging such as wrinkles. PRP can be used as a hair loss treatment as well for those experiencing thinning and bolding.

The process involves using your body’s natural sources of collagen and protein by drawing a patient’s blood and then spinning it in a centrifuge to create platelet-rich plasma (PRP). That PRP is drawn into a syringe and applied to the treatment area.

At Muma Aesthetics we offer microneedling with PRP for both skin treatments and hair loss restoration.
